For anyone else that runs into this, it was not an app problem, but instead iOS related. Fixed this by going into iOS control center and disabling “access within apps”.
Sounds on Puzzles stopped working

With recent iOS iPAD application update ~48 hrs ago?, sounds are no longer working on Puzzles when pieces are moved. Daily Puzzle, Coach, Games, etc. are fine. No problem on iPhone, though.
Tried uninstalling/reinstalling iPad app, but no luck.
