I saw a post earlier today suggesting a requirment for something like 5 posts in other peoples forum topics before they can create their own topic. I think a better method would be to require 10 chess games or something similar before you can make any posts at all. Of course, I think anyone ought to be able to post in the chatrooms especially help and support.
spam bots

requiering a few games before being alloved to post is brilliant
Maybe. The spammer may though play a couple of moves and resign, finishing all 5, 10 or whatever number of games in 1 min, and continue with the spam.
I do get that chess is a huge sport in India. I also get that there are millions of sexy indian woman waiting for a moderatly compitant chess player to call them. Why else would they spam the forums with posts urging me to call some 12 diget number?
What I dont get and hopfully one of the talented staff at chess.com might explain to me is why nobody has made a program to delete these messages as they appear, or even better enforce some sort of check when new players join to ensure that they are in fact humans and not "love marrage specialist in world" or whatever.
While writing this post i checked the "most recent posts" section of the forum. 8 out of 10 posts were spam. I refreshed the page a minute later only to find that jet another spam message had appered making the total 9 out of 10.
Dear chess.com please do something about this. It is getting completly out of controll, it is an easy fix and it would lift the quality of the forum by miles in terms of quality.
If you need help feel free to ask, I am sure that atleast one of the 10 000 000 members knows enough about computers to fix the problem
