Bug
Spammy club.
I recently left a club that runs bazillions of silly speed chess 'events' and fills your notifications with adverts for them. Went there. Left the club. I'm still getting the notifications... If I click on them it goes to the club and there's a red banner saying 'Oops, looks like you're not a member of this club.' I'm STILL getting the notifications though. Why?
By default the site tracks content you post on, so if the alerts are for forums where you replied, that could be the reason.
I see. I've just been manually deleting them. Maybe that will stop it. Seems silly getting default notifications from a club you're a non-member of, but I imagine that's low on the 'to fix' list.
You can disable notifications for most thing on chess.com by clicking the follow check box
for example in the bottom right corner of this forum there is a checkbox.
Hope this helps (:

Yeah, thanks. I guess that's what would have done the trick. Manually unfollowing every topic I ever commented on before leaving. Silly me... I just thought quitting the club would cause that to occur by default.
