talk to player

I have asked how to reply to my opponent on another posting.  I have looked everywhere for some button or whatever.  I cannot find a thing.  I feel bad when my fellow player wants to talk to me but I can't reply.  So, I am asking again.  Where I am going wrong?

Are you playing live chess, or turn-based?

Reply where? Have you received a note and want to reply, or is it during a game. If it is during a game I assume that you have a text box displayed to the right of your board since you've read your opponents comments. Do you have a thin rectangluar box underneath the comments box? If my memory is correct, there is a enter button beside the thin rectangular box. Anyway, you type in there and hit return. If any of the things I described do not appear  on your screen, then you may have a glitch on your account or something-I don't know anything about computers. Anyway, have a look and get back to me.
