Text editor out of whack

When using the WYSIWYG text editor on opera 9.21 on windows xp SP2 with JRE 1.5, It seems to often not drop my sentences to the next line. Instead, it extends the maximum width of my post which can screw up the formatting of the whole page. The only way to avoid this is to manually drop them with enter, but this makes for badly formatted sentences and its annoying.
Any solutions? Future fixes by whoever makes it? Firefox and IE are not options, so i would be jumping to more obscure lightweight browsers like K-meleon due to the hardware on my PC.
