And when you lose on time after checkmated your opponent? happened to me, twice, in blitz tournaments. I immediately left those Tournaments, although this may configure disregard for other players, those who do not cheat. But I was upset and did not even think about it...
You can't lose on time after you checkmated your opponent.
You should try to understand lag adjustments. Please read this article from chess.com. Why did the clock times suddenly change?
In reality, you were lost on time before you got a chance to play your checkmate. Sadly, your connection was slow and so your computer didn't show it to you that way.
Can't imagine how it's possible unless there is something wrong with the clock of the computer. You've got a move from a server, you have time and you make a move. Btw now i have a guess how people can cheat. If the server takes into account the time when a computer sends a move then people can cheat with it. If the server takes into account the time when it receives a move then it's not fair because people with big lag can lose much time. So if it's the second scenario then ping to server very important. Anyone knows address of the server?
I raised several topics on this very same issue. There are some, for lack of a better word, computer experts who abuse their knowledge and talent to win chess games and then downgrade to geek, nerd or imbecile status.
Why ? Only the toes knows....
