Some tournaments set a limit for the maximum time out ratio of participants.

You have played a very little number of games here, so the 2 time outs you have create a very high percantage. Just play a few more games, don't lose them on time and your time out ratio will decrease. If it gets below 10%, timeouts won't be a problem for almost all tournaments.
You don't need to be a premium member to enter tournaments, but you can only have 1 tournament going at a time (+1 official chess com tournament).
Hi all...what is a timeout and how do I change my status...I just want to get in a tourny first it was $ of online games now i get timeout%..what the heck...do I have to be a member to join tournies???
