This is exactly what I'm experiencing as well. It makes playing blitz/bullet on my Android almost impossible. This problem started yesterday for me, right after the interface update.

Same here, also on a Samsung device – I wonder if that's a coincidence or a Samsung-specific problem. Anyway, hope it's fixed soon.

Where are the new challenge lists?  I like to chose games from that list?   So?????? /where have they gone?

interface update ?? I think they have upped the accuracy required to place pieces- u have to touch the square absolute dead center - but even then I often end up attempting to move a piece 3 or 4 times before it moves ??

used to happen to me when on the website using iPad.

I have just experienced a similar problem it won't let me make the move I want (no checks stopping it) and my time runs so I desperately try other legal moves and lost 2 games

Also have Samsung and this started a few days ago. I was hoping the bug would be fixed by now

I have the same problem moving since the update. But imo it's not so much where you're touching the square but instead it seems to be a timing issue. I've found that after touching the piece if I wait a around a second and a half to two seconds then click where to go it works. If you tap two quickly it won't move. If you try to move right away by dragging it I don't see the problem only with the tap then tap. I only use the app on an android on an LG Stylo 5.

I'm just confirming that the problem still exists. On my last phone (Xiaomi) I started experiencing this problem and thought it it was an issue with my phone. Now I have a Samsung and it has the same issue. It is just impossible to play blitz and bullet.

Besides, I don't have this problem with Lichess which means there is something wrong with chess.com's app.

I just started experiencing this with my brand new pixel 7 pro. Never a problem with my OnePlus 7 pro.

Having this problem as well on a Pixel 7. Lichess app works great. Chess.com on my laptop is fine but difficult to move quickly in bullet on my phone.

Don't remember having this issue on my Samsung Galaxy but it's been a year and I wasn't playing bullet then.

I am sick to death of this problem. I have lost hundreds of games because moves not registering or registering incorrectly. On Samsung any slight lateral movement either invalidates the attempted move or in some cases performs a move as though the piece were dragged to another square. To the latter, why is there no option to turn off dragging pieces?? Touch screen is trash technology and clearly touch sensitivity has been ruining games for years. It should not be difficult to implement changes. My phone also regularly fails "clicks" on the sides of the screen. I turned off one stupid side menu but it's still a problem. I often make moves not because they are the best but because the side squares are very unreliable in a short time game.

Facing the same in moto edge fusion 50

Same issue with a brand new OPPO Reno FS. Had an old OPPO phone before and was working absolutely fine. I recognise the same issue. It has to be perfectly dead center to make the move and takes continuous tapping on the screen to make the move. Has anyone managed to resolve the issue?
