you have to play at least 5 cc games. live games don't count, nor do 'mentor games' (or whatever that is, i have no idea what you're referring to there).
tournaments?
Hi,
I have played online about 10 times. Most of the time in live chess, I lost. I went to chess mentor and played a game there. I beat my mentor at that game.
Now, it seems to me that it is the time that usually beats me in live chess as I often run out of time or feel rushed into making moves I usually wouldnt.
So, I thought that I would play in a tournament to see how I do. The problem is that when I try to join it, I get a message that tells me that I need to play online five times or something before I can join. I tried playing a few more times in live chess to make up for this but, it still doesnt work. My rating gets lower the more I play on there because I dont do well under the time contraints.
Does anybody know how I can join tournaments?
My understanding is that you need to play some turn-based chess... you need to establish that you are reliable enough to finish some (slow-paced) turn-based games.
thanks for your responses. how do I do that? just noob here and no idea what I am doing wrong but, that is exactly what I want to do: play some turn based games against other people
