Hi everyone,
I'm encountering a problem with a PGN file I have. It contains multiple chess games, and I'm trying to essentially "merge" sequences of moves from different games within this single file into a new, single game record.
Ideally, I would use the merge functionality in my chess program (Fritz), but for some reason, it's not working as expected.
I also tried to manually copy the notation text (algebraic moves) from the individual games to paste into a new, empty game, but it seems the notation text within Fritz is not selectable or copyable using standard methods (click and drag, Ctrl+A).
So, I'm looking for alternative solutions or workarounds to achieve this. My goal is to take specific move sequences from various games within the same PGN file and combine them into one continuous game.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with Fritz or know of a way to accomplish this? Perhaps there's a different approach or a tool I'm not aware of?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your help.
