Actually, there IS a way. Go to Settings, then click Daily Chess. Turn "Automatically claim victory...' to the off position.

That just stops the system from claiming a win when any of your opponents run out of time in Daily games outside of tournaments.
The OP is asking if it is possible to stop the system from placing games on vacation for a premium account.

2024 and there is still no option to remove this automatic vacation unfair advantage. Thinking of cancelling premium subscription to solve it.

january 2026 now. i had no idea how irritating it was, nor that it only (?) comes with premium. i /like/ premium, but DANG! i'm playing the 2026 championship and would like to turn that mess off.
it seems like it doesn't matter that i go over to Daily Games and turn it off. they just turn it back on whenever.
if i could turn on vacations IRL this easily, i'd be far happier.
anyone know if there is a solution to this yet, aka turn this off until i manually turn it back on?

No, you can't disable automatic timeout protection. The 2026 Chess.com Daily Championships is a no vacation tournament so those games are not impacted by the feature.
I was playing some daily matches where I only had 30 minutes left, and I received a message that vacation mode has been activated automatically because I am a premium member. Is there a way to turn that off?
