Unauthorised charges

Ahhhhhh! I've searched and many people seem to have the same issue.
I signed up for the premium free trial and cancelled this prior to the trial ending.
I have now noticed that Chess.com has taken money from my account on multiple occasions AFTER the cancellation date. I have yet again gone in and cancelled the premium membership.
I have tried contacting the chess.com team on the support page (they say 1-3 days for a response) we're now on day 4. I've emailed support@chess.com with a generic response to use the website support page. I have reported the fraud to my bank, they have cancelled my card and lodged a fraud case.
Why are so many people having this issue. I honestly thought this was a trusted site.
If I don't have a response from an actual team member and resolution, my only other option is to review the site online and warn people not to use it.
Why is it so difficult to communicate with the team? What have others done in this situation?

It usually takes 1-3 days for a staff response to a support request but it can potentially take longer depending on overall ticket loads. I have never heard of members not getting refunds when they requested them, once staff have the ticket assigned.

Thanks @Martin_Stahl
There's a concerning number of threads both here and other forums for people who have been charged after cancelling their subscriptions, so it's not a trustworthy look for the site. I've had to cancel my card and lodge fraud paperwork in the interim. I'll give it one more day I guess but it's certainly not ok that this is common

According to staff you should have been contacted now

Thanks Martin. Staff responded, but not resolved. The communication channel is a nightmare. I will continue lodging the fraud case as this does not look to be an easy resolution.

They said a refund was given. Though it can take a few days for a refund to complete

This is not the first payment that has been taken and they will not address this.
I have confirmation of my subscription ending in 2021 and Chess.com have applied multiple charges since that time. I have asked them to confirm in writing that the subscription has now stopped for a 2nd time. They have ignored all details in the complaint and just refunded the latest charge. This is not a 2 way communication tool and it's incredibly frustrating.
