Unclear wich level of Premium I need for all Guide lessons

My Premium Gold membership Trial has ended. During this trial I enjoyed the "Guide" lessons from Chess.com Team a lot and it appeared I could take them unlimited even on Gold Membership.

Now when I want to start a new Lesson is states "Go Premium Now for Unlimited Lessons" without  stating which level of Premium required at first.

But when I click further it seems that only the Diamond level features unlimited lessons. 3 or 5 lessons a week frankly doesn't seem worth it to me.

Although I don't think Diamond membership is priced unfairly, it's just too expensive for me at this time.

So do I need Diamond for unlimited lessons for the Guide or is Gold membership good enough?

And if I need Diamond, does Premium membership ever go on sale? For Black Friday perhaps?

Thanks for the help!

You read correctly. With gold, get three per week. With platinum , five.  Honestly, all the other things that come with either level will keep you pretty busy. Tactics training is essential.  Game report is very useful in reviewing your mistakes. Drills are very educational.

Membership hasn't gone on sale as far back as I can remember.

Thanks for the info!

What's weird is that my SO didn't activated the free Trial and is still able to take all the lessons 8 days after the created her chess.om account. Seems because I activated the free Trial I'm a bit screwed over. But maybe she'll encounter the same message in a few days.

Well, I know it doesn't makes much sense but I just got Premium Gold. After that I was able to complete 5 lessons from the Guide series. Clearly more than the promised 3/Week.

I would guess that there's a distinction between lesson types.

There's some additional distinction made on lessons. Some are available outside the #/week

That's because you're probably checking the price on the app on an Apple or Android device. If you buy the membership there, Apple (and Google I believe) take a 15% cut on the amount you pay to chess.com for processing/bank fees etc. It's also how Apple/Google pay for server costs to host the app on.

If you buy straight from the website chess.com doesn't have to pay any fees so often companies like chess.com choose to lower the price when buying straight from them.

You can simply bypass this to not use the app, but use the webbrowser of your mobile device to go to chess.com, log in with the same account as your app, and buy from there using credit card or PayPal.

It's generally a good idea for most services that have a website besides an app to compare the prices of a subscription or other purchase.

I think you have to be logged in to see the valid membership prices. I had the same problem when I registered: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/help-support/about-membership-1

I guess Belgium has the same prices as France

For the choice, you have to think on the long term how much time you'll spend on it.

Start with Gold one month if you are not sure.

I took the Gold paid yearly and I'm perfectly happy with it.

The site has regional pricing, so depending on where you are can see a difference.

Also, you should buy from the website, I bought on mobile app 5 days ago, and because of the backlog or whatever it is, I haven't received my membership yet

Chess.com diamond is too expensive . I am agold member till 29th September 2021 and I experienced that gold membership us best for lessons . The 3 lessons you do you can memorise by the weekend but in Diamond you get unlimited lessons and dont get time for memorizing the previous lessons you did  . Without mastering each concept how can you go to next lessons ? Renew you gold membership . It's really useful . Less price , more chess .
