Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks.

I thought that too, but unverified since 2011 creation and just now seeing that message seems unlikely, plus two paid memberships over the years.
They aren't letting new members chat until they verify their email address.

I have the ability to chat. Is there a screen that would show me my email address and a verification status? The issue resolved itself, when I tried to make new games I was under a review of the fair play team, and that message no longer appears.
