I just tried sending a completely ordinary message to an admin of one of the WL clubs & got this warning from the site:-

Can anyone (staff included) explain why I received this please?

The auto-mod was having issues and staff is looking into it. It may be fixed by now.

O/k but I really want to avoid being muted because I help to run a few leagues on the site. I'll try again...

It’s happening all over but only a handful have been affected.

It worked o/k on a second attempt. 😊

But from what I hear the 'auto-moderator' has been busy muting all kinds of people who have never violated site rules before?

Avatar of blackfirestorm

Yeah I bypassed it 😂

I don’t know. Only thing I can think of is cuz I’m on my mobile phone accessing the website.

If you didn't repeatedly try to post after getting the message, it wouldn't have muted you.

But according to the beta forums, the issue has been resolved.

Now my clean record has been tarnished! And the public humiliation of my posts disappearing! sad.png

I have had the same problem posting on Tactics Trainer. Perfectly innocuous, bland post and I get told I have breached their guidelines. I have received two private messages from chess.com admin telling me that my account has been "muted". I have replied, stating how I feel about it!

I would tell you how I really feel except that my account would certainly be blocked then!

Come on chess.com, get your act together!

And it normally thanks me for my comments. Not that time, sheesh, shut my mouth!

Scary how an innocuous post can unleash frenzied bots upon us!

Avatar of autobunny

The bots can't handle the innocuousness!

Must have been a power surge 😂

Avatar of 52yrral

The bots already have too much power!

Skynet starts on chess.com ?

After I posted above, I found I had an email from chess.com reprimanding me again! I emailed back, and this morning I have had an apology. Glitch in the system. Very bad PR though!!!

Avatar of AlCzervik

was it an automated apology?
