To balance it out resign one game and win the other on time.

In a tournament. If he timed out against you, he probably timed out against the other players as well. Why would you want to put yourself at such a disadvantage?

Ratings rollbacks may be tricky but negating these types of tournament wins has been done at least once. I have a feeling the staff won't want to do this often if ever again.

I am playing in a tournament http://www.chess.com/groups/team_match.html?id=15224 and have the following problem: my opponent's account (Kepler) was closed, however our game is in progress. That means that I'll have 2 default victories against a very high rated opponent. But I don't want my rating to rise too much because of these victories.
I would like to somehow cancel this unnecessary game - it doesn't decide anything. Is it possible?
