URGENT: Refund Request Ignored for Over One Month

Dear Chess.com Support Team,

Over a month ago, I submitted a refund request for my subscription. Your AI chat assured me that a support representative would follow up via email within a few days. I have received zero communication since then — no confirmation, no update, and no refund.

This level of service is unacceptable. I am requesting an immediate refund of my subscription fee.

The lack of communication from Chess.com seems very similar to what I experienced when I tried to get support with the app not working as intended. I reached out to their support, and opened a forum request, and did a bug report. I think I need to cancel my membership. Chess.com doesn't seem to care about replying to requests.

Have you received any communication now?

You forum post was less than a day ago. If your ticket was in a similar time frame, it can take a few days for a response. Bug report don't get a response unless they need additional information

Before I posted to the forms I posted to the chat as instructed by "Richard" in the Help and Support forms. I still haven't received a response back from "Mia". It's been several days now and no reply. It also seems strange to me that chess.com doesn't have a support form to submit support questions, and they don't advertise a support email address to direct questions to. It seems like they don't really want to be bothered with questions.

I will also mention that if I were m_gogol, I would reach out to my payment processor (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and contest the payment to get my refund. This will require Chess.com to respond to the request or forfeit the payment. Your financial institution will likely credit you the money while the request is being processed. Requests like this usually take about 10 days. I believe this course of action has the best chance for success in my opinion.

I've just been charged £109.99 for a premium membership- I was unaware the payment format would be a singular, yearly charge. Reading this forum, I realise now that I am £110 short with seemingly no hope of getting a full refund. Has anyone actually received communication at all from chess.com support?

If you request a refund you'll get one, but you'll need to contact Support directly using the option in the menu.
