Maybe you were about to lose those games on time? As a diamond member Chess.com will automatically put you on vacation so you don't lose on time.

If the above statement is correct, it's an inappropriate purchased advantage, methinks.

_Thales_,

Inappropriate? How so? If you're paying whatever the Diamond fee is, I feel you deserve the 90 vacation days, as well as the auto-timeout protection! If you pay, you should get something out of it, right? Well, this is an excellent feature, and I would dare to say it is well-loved by those who may not be able to access the internet every 3 days, or however long.

P.S. I reply only to this post, and not the OP, because the answer / reason has been given.

@dc1985:  I agree that you should get all kinds of benefits for paying for chess.com, including tactics/strategy training etc etc . but not those that give any direct advantage to paying members at an individual game level.  We may have to differ on this point, but do you really want an advantage over your opponent just by paying for it ?

I'm afraid I don't see where the paying member gets too much of an advantage, apart from extra vacation time, which will hardly give you a single-game advantage, unless you can't think of a move within 14 days. I admit that vacation time can be abused, and would prefer not to start a conversation over it; however, I still fail to see what advantage this can give individual games.

I'm good with an "agree to disagree", however =).
