Vanishing blitz game?

Hi all, I just played a blitz match that was an excellent game (for me!).

I was excited to see the post-game report, but when I click on the 'game report' button, it says that no moves exist for the current game. Then, if I look at my games history, this game does not come up. It's almost like the game failed to be registered by the server? Could your games database be corrupted?

Also it says that I gained 8 ratings points in the game, but when I look at my stats this was also not registered. It's as if the game never happened!

It's a shame because I would really like to be able to review this game. It was interesting until the other guy blundered his queen and then resigned.... I took screenshots of all of the moves so that I can reconstruct the game on my own, but... it would be nice to have it officially registered. Is there any way to fix this? Is there any possibility that the server's games database is corrupted?

May just be a glitch, or the server rebooted before the game was written to the DB.

just to follow up, now I try to look at game # 4153184712, and nothing comes up. It's like this game never happened.

Is this a known bug? Just wondering if there's anything I can do to avoid this in the future. I'm going to assume my opponent wasn't able to somehow invalidate a game that turned out to be a loss... I don't think people are that devious (but, you never know...). I'm going to assume there's a better explanation than 'my opponent must be a hacker'

I get a game aborted when trying to load it, so it really looks like a server restart is probably what happened at the same time the game concluded, so it never got written to the DB.

There may be a lag in writing to the DB.

Same thing happened to me.

Same thing for me in my rapid games. Games not registered in the archive and no rating change!

Game is showing now, so just some lag/slowness.

Hello this is Heyovip. I just played two 10min games in a row that I won. They are not listed in the games archive and my stats are still the same. But when i start another game strangely enough it seems that I got the rating points. This is the first time it happens to me. MacOs and chrome user. 

It seems to just be lag in updating the DB. Give it a little time and the games should show.

I got the same thing, and when the game came back, I lost 16 instead of 8 points

Staff is looking into it.

Same thing happened to me just now. The recent blitz match vanished...

And now it's displaying the vanished blitz match in the archives 😌

ah, I can confirm my game now shows up in my history, the moves are all there and it can be analyzed, etc. Looks like it was some weird lag in writing it to the database.

I almost always run analysis immediately following the end of my games, so I've never seen this lag before, for what it's worth..... something might be a bit off with the servers, maybe? anyways glad it just seems to be a lag issue. Thanks Martin for looking at it so quickly! I did message support at the link you provided as well, hopefully others can do the same if they're also seeing it.

The lag is not normal. It took a game I played took about 20 minutes. Staff will figure it out, they are looking at it now, and get it back to normal.

Has anyone reported it yet?
