Verifying Your E-mail

Most of the time, when you have signed on, you have to give a valid e-mail.  But, there are rare occassions where you don't.  The problem is that I terminated a previous account, before logging on, otherwise.  But, now although I have a valid e-mail, it appears that it's not recognized as one because when I ask staff a question, usually general, I haven't heard back, yet.  And, I think it's because I'm not considered to have a valid e-mail, even though the e-mail I have is valid.  So, my question is how do you verify your e-mail to the staff when you're not asked?

You can see your registered email address in your profile.

How long have you been waiting for an answer to your questions? Why not post them here?

99% of the people here are staff members. Unfortunately they dont know how to answer questions so they dont. Its easy to hide when your not face to face. One of the real evils of the internet.

If 99% of people here are staff, then you'd be staff and I'd be staff.

By his own admission;  "  The problem is that I terminated a previous account, before logging on".  Staff doesn't take too kindly to multiple accounts from the same IP address.  Lets say for his 1st account, he became the victim of identity theft, or his E-mail got caught up with a scam. He would kill the E-mail address, notify his bank, medical people, etc. Then send a P.M, to chess.com, explaining his dilemma and ask for a new account. He wouldn't buy a new computer. They don't care what your E-mail is. All they know is that 2 accounts are coming from 1 computer.

I want to give him the benifit of the doubt. He's been here for 3 yrs. He helps admin pointing out things in the spam thread.

Thanks, RonaldJosephCote.  Yes, I should have paid better attention because, I did not know that I had a previous account.  This was why I signed on, and had I known, I would've just stuck with this account.

Actually, when I started, the computer was different because the old one, believe it or not, broke as hidden malware got in, somehow.  It happened on a website where you buy things, I guess you.  But, if I had known that I had an existing account, I would not have started another one.  In fact, when I signed on, not only didn't I know, but I thought I did not have one and was asking myself how to get on here.  So, I figured that I was registering, for a first time.  If I saw, otherwise, I would've figured out that registration wasn't needed.  My problem which has been ongoing, espeically in things like this, is that, I easily get confused.  This is also why I have a lot of questions.
