I know from experience that if you was a member on both teams and you left the game then you had to rejoin the game by clicking on the link
But it seems this is not the case any more

The same thing happened to me TwoMove! I was in a group and playing against it in a Vote Chess game then when I quit it removed me from the game.
Ok now this is a glitch I don't really like right now.
This happened to me. ok
In group A someone banned me then unbanned me a second later. In group B and C I was playing for them in Vote Chess against Group A and I was also playing a few games for Group A. When he banned me in Group A it kicked me out of all the vote chess games even the ones I was playing AGAINST group A. This has affected me greatly.
Usually it used to just be a problem of constant alerts in VC games I could never see, but I presume this is a whole new level. Thank you for the warning.
hsbgowd had something similar happen to him three times. Staff member dpruess is looking for information on exactly how people are getting booted, so that they can work to fix the problem. Anyone who has had this problem should probably contact David, and give him the details, so that they can work it out.

In my case was when left a group and didn't switch off alerts from vote chess games. Then got booted from games was playing for opposition of group left.
I got hit by this same bug yesterday. Got auto-booted out of three very interesting games all at once, which I was captaining. Are there any plans to fix this? My team mates keep asking me if I've been let back in yet, but all I can tell them is that we'll have to wait, and see if staff can come up with a solution.
I think it's pretty clearly a bug, and not a deliberate part of chess.com policy. Why would you get booted when you leave a group? What it needs though is for one of their programmers to track what part of the code is causing this, and rewrite it. That would also solve the problem with receiving alerts that you cannot respond to.
I found this other thread where the bug is also discussed. It seems that there was some movement towards finding a solution at that time, although the issue has not been resolved yet.
Hello,
Have recently left a group, and have found has removed me from all vote games that group was associated with, including a game playing on other side. Is this intended behaviour?
