Waiting for the next game a tournament and and then get a 0 point bye

This has been really bugging me. So I'm playing in swiss tournaments online on chess.com. I'm wating the last game to finish and sometimes when it's over I get a 0 point by because my connection craps out but it's only when I'm watching another game in the tournament. It really pisses me off me, I'm waiting all this time and then I can't play. I believe it has to do with chess. coms website but I could be wrong. Anyone else have this problem. Thank you
