"What if..." Analysis Board enhancment would be great to have.

When reviewing a game in the Analysis Board, you can only go forward and backward through the moves that were played. It would be great if you could go through alternative moves and see what might have happened if different moves were played.

then how would you get back on track in the real game? :) a reset button i suppose? i guess i just always do my "what ifs" after the game :)
Zugzwang

Maybe pressing the "current" button would back up to the game line?

Even after the game, I don't think you can do "What ifs"'.

i agree -- can't rewrite the history in the board.

if its over its over you cant go back and change your moves and anyway you wouldnt know what your opponent would play for the next 10 moves, if you went back that far.

The analysis board is great at the moment but I would like to see the potential moves made on the analysis board scoresheet. Sometimes I get lost in the variations when there are alot of options tactically.

good suggestions all!

Yes, on some other chess sites they have a "revert" command or button so that when you are going through a sub-variation that you can just click or type "revert" and you will get back to the main line of the game. Possibly this can be programmed somehow.
