There is some issue with Safari at the present time. Apple screwed something up in the websockets connection.

Why Abandoned when I quit browser and immediately relaunched???

There is a bug in chess.com. Sometimes the sound stops working, and the only fix is to quit and restart Safari. I was just in a game and it was the opponents move and the sound wasn't working so I quit Safari and I immediately re-launched it. I was away from the game no more than five seconds but when I came back it showed that it was abandoned.
Why?
You have technical bugs with your site and you need to sometimes quit and restart your browser as a result. And if somebody quits and immediately rejoined the game, that game should not be made abandon especially if they do so when it's the opponents turn.
That is grossly unfair.
