Why is explorer showing me moves all the way up to checkmate, on move 43?

I sometimes check on openings explorer, to see how my candidate moves have fared in other games. On one of my current games, I'm on move 7 and it initially showed only one continuation, that has been played before. However, if I make a different move, it also shows a single continuation. If I follow the suggested moves, exactly, it continues past move 10 and all the way to checkmate, on move 43. Why am I seeing this?

The explorer shows games that grandmasters have played, to the very end.
The explorer will check to see if your position has been reached by GMs, regardless of move order, and show you how many of them played which moves.
If playing a move that it doesn’t show still results in a continuation, that’s because GMs got to the new position by a different move order than you.
