Why is word pussycat prohibited in chat?
I wrote pussycat in the chat twice and got temporary chat ban... Isn't the rules quite too strict? WHat do you think?
From my point of view, this is ridiculous as this variant is definitely not explicit... in such fashion we can ban also "what the funny" or "as FUNNY" as Danny Rensch says it.
Chess.com seems to be a little confused about what is and what is not acceptable language. You get punished for using that word but people using multiple racial slurs don't.
It is also acceptable to say:
Go [removed -- MS]
The site uses a simple text filter and it will match word withing other words. If you receive a red warning and you repost the same thing, you will likely get muted.

@Martin_Stahl Why did you edit my post?
I am using the website so I am subjected to the automated filter. (unlike app users) None of the words that I used are red flagged by the system.
Please do not censor that that which is allowed by the Autobots!
We all know that the Bots know best.

And still this sentence continues to slip through that wonderful system:
Go to hell you damn retard douchbag!

Thank you. But isn't that a little OP?
It's a lot easier to develop text filtering like that. Context sensitive would be a lot harder and more complex. My understanding is there's a project that should improve that, but it might be a while before it's tested and implemented.

Chess.com expects high standards from its members. We need to be above any form of controversy. We need to be better than the bots. Lead the way, staff!
