Why won’t certain things load

I waited 5 minutes it still won’t load

Also I can’t watch videos embedded on this site because it just doesn’t show up (the videos are not restricted)

You might try in private/incognito mode and see if that works to rule out a few things. 

The elephant was too heavy. The loader specs were exceeded.

If you're running any kind of ad block, you might disable and check. Those can block site scripts.

In the screenshot there are several ads
