Will users be able to revert to the old/last home page format?

Not a fan of the busy and somewhat confusing new home page format. Will a revert option be provided? If not, will there be a way to select which features are shown, perhaps with the Home Settings menu? The current layout is crowded and full of features I don't use or need.

So the Home Settings don't let you remove the things you don't want?

They do not. The new top menu contains these features:

Home Settings only let you toggle these features:

There is no way to remove or reconfigure the top menu. You can't change the "Play 10 min" button to another time control; the shortest time control I play with any regularity is 15|10. And the information I actually want, like my stats and my activity, gets pushed down below the top menu. Why do I want a huge portion of my homepage to show the accuracy score of a game I've already analyzed? Additionally, every time I've gone to the homepage since it has been re-done, the notifications on the top menu and the sidebar are out of sync. And for extra fun, instead of having two different ways to start a game, the contentious Play vs. Live nonsense, there are FIVE different ways to start a game on the homepage. How is that better?

As I said, not a fan of this change.

My understanding is the site is not going to provide customization of that top portion and there's no option to revert to the old layout. Of course, anything is subject to change

I hate running uBlock Origin against a site I explicitly whitelist, but I couldn't deal with the new confusion at the top of the homepage anymore. Open uBlock > Enter element picker mode > select top pane > click "Create." And now I don't have to see it anymore. But again, it makes me feel kinda dirty to blacklist parts of a site I pay to use, and that I generally enjoy using because, well, it's really quite usable. When usability is hindered by cosmetic updates, UX either dropped the ball or got ignored, and that's a bummer.
