You cannot create this challenge because your account is currently being evaluated by our Fair Play

This has happened to me twice in a few weeks now playing 3|2. Last time, it was about a week before I could make challenges again I think (effectively stopping me from playing). Gonna assume it'll be similar this time.

Very interested in how this is triggered. Both times, it has happened immediately after playing a previous game when the challenge function was working. I've not used the chat or engaged in any "unsportsmanlike" behaviour, but I'm wondering if some people just give their opponents a "thumbs down" using the new feature whenever they lose and get mad - is this enough to trigger a temporary ban on an account? I'm guessing this since it's a recent feature addition.

It's annoying enough that I'll quit playing Live Chess here if it happens again (I'm already being prohibited from playing for a decent chunk of the time anyway!). Realise I'm not a paying member and it's hardly a potent threat, nor meant as such - just feedback.

Did you write to support@chess.com? They can find out what happened. 

Fair play is different than good sportsmanship. When someone has a rating above 2000, games are reviewed more often.  If your games have triggered something, they don't automatically ban you, like some places. All accounts are manually reviewed before they are closed.

Believe it or not, you are not the first one with the problem.  

Interesting, I guess that would make sense, they're probably trialling some algorithms using the data it gives them to see how it performs before putting it into practice.

I don't particularly need a response from support - they're busy enough, I can guess what they'll say and I know it's far from an accusation of cheating or the like. I'm not in fear of being closed (permanently)!

I do think that considering the frequency it's been happening (only been playing blitz here regularly again for a month or so, and it's occurred twice in that timeframe), the "punishment" seems a bit heavy-handed. I'm sure the staff are reviewing the performance of this policy constantly, anyway.

Thanks for linking the other thread, I see in the more recent posts there that people are also experiencing it repeatedly. I may go and check the Cheating Forum out on this.

It could be you are abondoning games?  Or are you cheating?  It doesn't have to come from an accusation.

Not sure how you came to this conclusion, but no, it's not sorted yet. Site staff are being helpful, though.

This has now happened to me when Ive only played 2 games in a few years all I do is tactics

Using engines against other players will result in an account being closed.
