Which theme are you using? I've had this same issue on other sites with my Linux box, using Dark Blue theme in KDE. It is kind of pointless to expect developers to change code for a single user, though. Unless that user is a VP or CFO... You can of course type in to writer and then paste into the text boxes. It sucks, but it works.
You guys didn't set the text box color attribute.

Maybe the problem is Linux, maybe Chess.com has something against Linux users... *gasp!* Maybe Chess is in league with Bill Gates! Attempting to shun all non-Windows operating systems and only support IE!

So in my linux machine running gnome + firefox, it defaults to my system settings somehow, I'm guessing because it's a java application or whatever. So pretty much I cant see what I'm typing. Fix please! I refuse to change my theme!
