Much to my wife's consternation and my detriment as a human being, I play a lot of G/3 blitz. A few times a year I play a game as black that goes 1. e4 d5 and then an immediate 2. Bc4?? Obviously white had 2. Bc4 premoved. Well against every opening except the Scandinavian 2. Bc4 is OK. Even against 1. e4 Nf6 2. Bc4 Nxe4 white gets some initiative for the pawn. Against the Scandinavian 2. Bc4 drops a piece and I've had some players immediately resign out of disgust (big mistake against me. By no means can I always beat someone up a clear piece - in blitz or otherwise. {including the many under 1000 players on chess.com that are really 1500 or over strength, but that is another post}}.
Interesting that some players risk the 2. Bc4 premove because the Scandinavian is a legitimate and fairly frequently played opening.
