hey all I just finished a game that I lost now I should of won by time I had 30+ on my clock and my opponent had less than a second on his but ever time my opponent made a move it added a split second on to his clock and my clock run down for a loss 🤔 I asked him what that was all about and he replied he was pre moving.is this a thing because it's not the first time it's happened to me on a 3 min blitz

premoving is a way to make a move in response to the opponents next move. it still counts as 0.1 seconds on their clock, and of course if the premove would be an illegal move it is not counted and you still have to make a move.
