A Problem With Watching Live Games

When I watch live games I often like to watch them from the beginning. That's because I like to approach it as a "replay"/PGN in progress. Starting watching from a random position in the middle of a game isn't very enjoyable. The problem is that when I rewind moves then EACH new move by the players updates board view to the latest state. This is a problem, because I can't browse and analyze older positions at my pace like in a full replay/PGN. The solution to this is simple. When displayed board state is NOT the latest one then new moves by the players should NOT update the view. When displayed state is the latest one then new moves should change the view. This simple change of board view mechanics would GREATLY improve enjoyment of watching live games.
