From my own personal experience, I would say it's not the best idea. Since it blocks the chemical signals between neurons in your brain, it leads to symptoms of intoxication, such as slowed reflexes and poor decision-making. However, in moderation, alcohol shouldn't have any effect on your play that is relatively substantial.
