I am new to this site and a relative beginner. Someone asked me to resign and when I didn't immediately do so, that player won. Why? I still had time left. S/he may have had an advantage, but I think it still might have come out to a draw or either of us could have won. For me, it was too close to call. I think this is etiquette I just don't understand yet.
