Hey,
To underpromote you would have to turn off auto queening :( Though I like the suggestion of being able to under promote while having auto queening is enabled.

I also have auto queening for speed games, but I like the idea of a under promote option to appear before confirming. It would be less "auto queen" and more "probably queen + option".
I'm still a proponent of holding down the letter of the piece you want to promote to, or queening by default. 95% of the time I would want a queen, but occasionally there are those random games where a rook is good to avoid stalemate or a knight is needed for an opening trap.
Guys, I've heard during the twitch that Danniel said you should hold some button (don't remember it was ctrl. shift or smt. like that) and even if autoqueen is turn on it will ask the pieace you want to promote, just like if autoqueen is turned off. Do you know what keyboard button it is? Cause I can't remember ))))

Right below the auto-queen setting switch, it says the ALT key temporarily disables the auto-queen promotion.

Thanks a lot.
I ran into a problem recently in one of my games: my opponent stumbled into an opening trap and I needed to underpromote a pawn to a knight to win. Because I usually play 5-minute blitz and need a queen instantly in the endgame I have the controls set to queen automatically.
Is there a hotkey to make a knight or rook in those rare situations? Or do I have to turn off automatic queening and slow down ten endgames for every 1 game where I might need the other options?
