black screen whenever i attempt to play live chess

For those still having the issue, are you loading the site through the Facebook app? If so, first try clearing cache and cookies. 

 

I just tested and it loads fine there now, as mentioned by @LouJBerger

My screen is blank. I can't play. I don't load through Facebook. I have cleared chess.com and Facebook cookies. Just started happening to me. Anyone know what's going on?

You might post what browser you are using and it's version. Do you have any plugins that might be blocking scripts?

 

Have you tested on a different browser?

Yep, you're right Martin Stahl... Was using Safari, switched to Firefox and I'm in. I like Safari and don't like having to switch browsers for just this site, but if that's what I need to do to get my chess fix ...

This is pretty stupid, chess.com is saying "ohh it's fixed" no it's freakin' not. ive been like this for a whole week, it's still not fixed, how do I even play chess online anymore?

I am also having the same issue and I can not find a fix. I have tried everything that I am seeing online.

Are you on a school/corporate device?

If so, your device has software or filter that is blocking code

Staff here are looking into a method to bypass that, but it might not happen quickly. You should be able to access everything in a device without any restrictions.

Are you saying you're seeing the issue in a home device that isn't managed by a school or business?

If so, there's still likely filtering or security software on it blocking site code

Yes its brand new from a few days ago. yes its not managed by anything but me.

What browsers and browser versions?
