Bullet Chess is too easy to lose (especially the 1-minute games)

Bullet chess is simply too easy to cheat (especially the 1-minute games). Instead of playing the game properly, due to the time constraints in bullet chess, some players "cheat" by doing random moves as fast as possible. Meanwhile, their opponents are spending time to think about their moves and their strategy, and they lose because they run out of time and they haven't been able to checkmate the guy doing the fast, random moves. What should we do about this "cheating" problem?

lol...making random moves is not cheating.

To answer your question about what needs to be done?

You need to play longer time controls because your fast game is horrible.

Play enough bullet and you'll lose less often to these randomizers. Develop your skills. Learn checkmate patterns so well that you see them instantly. Raise your game instead of complaining about your competition.

Changed the title, because making random moves is NOT cheating.

If you can't figure out how to checkmate someone making random moves in your minute, that's not their fault at all. Just win material and then it will become simple, rather than trying to calculate something fancy.

Making random moves in 1 minute chess is not cheating at all.  Thats part of the fun of 1 minute games.  The clock is a big part of the game and if you can make random moves that take your opponents clock down to zero before he can checkmate you then you win or tie.  Its about winning not about playing the game the way it is played in longer games.  As long as you play fair by not using a cheating method there is nothing wrong with random moves.  Its up to your opponent to develop a strategy fast enough to beat you!  Good enough players often win against random move players and probably 99.9 percent of the time.

Yeah. Go to 15|10. People don’t play 1 min bullet there

My last bullet game i did mostly random moves and won on time

It's annoying, but its not cheating.

I do think that the ratings for 2/1 games and 1/0 games should be different.

easy to give sermons. What about the beginners like us? A 1500-2000 rating can say anything.

Beginners retard their own development by playing bullet. The sermons most needed are those that are most often ignored. Most people choose to fail.

I chose to fail, too. My blitz addiction kept me below master.

Bullet Chess is too easy to lose (when you have slow internet)

I played 120 moves on the touchpad of a laptop in a one-minute game with a dial-up connection. Most members here are probably not old enough to know what a dial-up connection is like, but you can Google it.

It may be worth noting that slow internet is less of a factor when you use a server like Internet Chess Club than using a website to play. The amount of information that must be transmitted is much less.

*sigh*

Bullet chess is meant to be fast. It is meant to have people who move as fast as possible to try to flag the opponent. If you don't want people to "cheat", then just don't play bullet. People can still play slowly and think about strategy, but then they might be flagged. Bullet chess is supposed to be fun when you are feeling bad. Not for you to play a real game of chess.
