can everyone who has a problem with their android app post here

as above. if people post their complaints in one thread the staff might take some notice.  there is another thread with complaints regarding the pc and tablet app.                                 i am having numerous reconnects where it causes me to lose the game. in other cases i win but it means nothing. it makes a mockery of the rating points. there is also a serious problem with the clocks. they show different times to each opponent and also dont display the move you have made to your opponent.  can somone from chess.com offer an explanation rather than just say we are working on it. this has been a problem since i joined over one month ago.  i dont know how you can ask for subscriptions when there are so many faullts with the apps

I love chess.com but their android app for live chess playing has miles to go

I've just 'updated' to 2.0.17 and online games are now unplayable.  I've never had issues with earlier versions but in this case I have had to uninstall.  

As soon as I click on the online icon the screen flashes uncontrollably and I'm unable navigate away.  I have to return to home and kill the app manually.

I have been searching in vain for an earlier build on the net but so far haven't had any luck.  Going by the recent comments on Google Play there are a lot of others having serious issues with the latest update.

The latest version of chess.com for Android is rubbish. There is no game I do not use here as I lose time because of many disconnctions, application crash and so on.

I didn't have those problems before though it was not a perfect application.

it doesnt let you surf the site and trying to use the links is difficult....

i normally use chess.com with firefox on android, but lately i am having some peculiar problem with an error not allowing me to use the alt key, for caps, punctuation, symbols, numbers, etc....sucks bad...had a few updates since and still messed up...but it is still better than the chess.com android app, if that tells you anything

I just switched to Android, a new HTC One (nice), and the Chess.com app worked ok at first -- though the move highlighting is just a thin invisible outline not a beautiful lighted square like on iPhone -- but after two days I'm getting a log in error every time and it's not fixable, because it won't offer a login screen after that... if I go over to the Stats page I can log in fine; or if I go to Chrome and log in, that's also fine; but the site doesn't work on a screen on Chrome Android, pieces of the screen are overlapping... Guess I'm not playing on my phone anymore...

@killdewabbit- Please go into your application settings on your device, find the Chess.com app, and clear app data.  That should fix the login issue.

I still have the issue of the app hanging if it can't send a move to the server. I have to kill the app with Task Manager to recover.

yes 2.0.25 on android phone still wont let me login. I think im using gingerbread android......its galaxy 1

@bigDoggProblem have you tried a fresh install of the app to see if that helps?

@groinzilla- are you using the option to log in with facebook after clearing the app data?

@jac1yn- yes i am......pps u a page that i have authorized facebook to access game then tries to login and get error.

@groinzilla- Are you getting a "login again" error once you're already in the app, or have you not been able to enter the app at all?

I use whatever my phone can access. Sometimes I can only get 3G (Verizon) or the dreaded 1X. At home, I have WiFi and so rarely see this issue.

@jac1yn It pops up a screen that says u have already authorized facebook to access ches.com, I hit ok button then tries to load chess.com and get error.

@jac1yn.....this is the error message..... webpage not available. web pasge fbconnect://success#access_token=CAAAAACyfx4BAFrJN might be temporarily down.........it has been 10 days since not able to load on phone.

due to lack of browsing ability, i stopped using the chess.com app....i use mozilla firefox on my MyTouch 4G Slide....I have problems using anything requiring the shift key. I don't get the same error while using the touch screen texting, but only the full keyboard. I also cant make use of the menus that open multiple windows.

i also have an error in my games too. after opening the game to make my moves, as soon as i touch the screen anywhere, by default, a cursor appears in the chat box and it zooms into, and returns there each time i attempt using any function.

while trying to use the forums, i try to include space between the messages i type and the other posters, but it normally omits them....
