Did you disable it incidentally? Did your opponent disable it on purpose? If you try chatting to me in game you might come to the conclusion that chat's 'broken' in some way, if it doesn't occur to you that just it's turned off. I do wish there was a GG button to click at the end that was separate from all other chat functions, so we could be polite to each other at will, without giving the others a voice.
