chess.com error

Hellow fellow smart chess.com members, why is it that sometimes chess.com says:  "Draw by insufficient material" when the game is still able to go on!

So here's the question:  Why does chess.com accidentally say "Draw by insufficient material", when it's not right?

What pieces were left?  Draw by insufficient material means that neither player has sufficient pieces to checkmate the other.

I'm extremely certain that you're the one making the mistake about qualification for Insufficient Material, rather than the Chess.com scripts.

when there are no chances of mating the opponents' king whatsoever even with the worst defense possible, the game ends in a draw by insufficient material.

If Player A has insufficient mating material (e.g. lone king ) but Player B has sufficient material (e.g. king and rook) and Player B runs out of time, the game is a draw on insufficient material. That's just how it works.
