When i play chess in focus mode i like the board to be as big as possible with a s little dead space around the board. I achieve this using I have been the zoom feature in Chrome, and then re-positioning the board with the arrows keys. To make it as big as possible though there are a few issues:
1 - the toggle button for focus mode disappears at certain zoom levels and player info gets superimposed over the board. These i-frames are incorrectly scaling and start to obcsure each other at higher zoom levels. The work around is to zoom back to normal, hit focus mode toggle button, then re-zoom in focus mode.. In short, this is a pain to do this every time but at least it was working, until yesterday...
2 - now that I have figured out i can simply always play in focus mode (there is a setting available to set this to default), however when the game is scaled up with zoom in focus mode I can no longer scroll the page in Chrome to align the board (the problem with zooming in focus mode is that Chrome does not keep the board centered on the screen). To work around this I would use the arrows keys to move the board into position but as of yesterday this is no longer possible. Once the zoom is set there is no way to position the board. Now I cant have that big board that I was enjoying for so long. This is one of the reasons I chose to stay with chess.com after the site was upgraded.
I would suggest that chees.com devs look into scaling issues and try to achieve making the board be as big as possible on the screen in focus mode (meaning from top edge to bottom edge with no space left. There are plenty of players (like me) who want/need to see the board at a certain size. Unless this is resolved I dont think I'll be using the site as it jsut too hard on the eyes.
Thanks for your time.
