Conditional move in LIVE

Hi!

Is it possible here to make a premove in live chess? So, you drag piece to legal position, so you spend just (for example) 0.1s or something.

If it's not possible... why isn't?

Thanks for answers!

I would say that it is not possible, considering the LIVE part.  The conditional move setting is generally if the the other olayer is not there full time such as in Correspondence.  On LIVE by the time you set up the Conditional move they may have moved already, so I do not think it is actually even a possiblity,

Hope this helps :)

In Live Chess, only one (1) conditional move can be made.  This is called Pre-MOVE. But you must first enable PRE-MOVE in Live Chess Setting (see the link of pawn_eater).

How does this work?

Take for example the book line in the Sicilian: 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6.

How can a conditional move of  "if 3.d4 cxd4" be duplicated in Live Chess?

Here's how.  After moving the pawn to c5, immediately move that c5-pawn to d4 without waiting for White to play 3.d4.

If White plays 3.d4, your pawn automatically and immediately takes at d4 (3....cxd4) so you save a second of clock time.

If White does not play 3.d4 but something else, your c-pawn remains where it is.

Wow, that's a great trick. On my way to get accustomed to the 5|0 game, I will use it.

This is a 13 year old post. The site has changed a lot since then.

Premoves are enabled on Live Chess settings.
