What? Those are the rules. And the position was completely drawn anyway.
Do not play live chess
That is indeed quite unsportive, but it may be better to contact Chess.com Support (Live) for this, they can take measurements what is needed for your opponent.
@gabrielconroy: Yes, it was drawn, but the only thing his opponent did, was trying to flag him, while not trying to win. That is unfair.
Oh I see, sorry. Yes that's unsporting and annoying, but it's still his right even if it makes him look a bit pathetic. Support will probably just say to block him and never play him again.
@Dekker: Can such a thing be reported? I do not care too much, I will not play this guy anymore and I got my draw, but still...
I agree with gabrielconroy. This behaviour is not against the rules. When times runs out I also make some move very quick to win on time. OK in this position I could imagine that I would accept draw. I would be very suprized if staff did something about it.
u cant report this. and public ostracization is pointless. also, why bother posting a topic about 1 person among thousands.
also, i and many other players might try to win you on time in such a position. time is an essential part of the game.
@i_r_n00b: I believe that OTB you can claim a draw in such a position even if you have only I second on your clock. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that this are FIDE rules.
@i_r_n00b: Ostracization might not be pointless, it took me one minute and maybe I saved someone from really bad experience.
oh my bad, sorry (is it me or is it hot in here? :D). I believe the same situation could very well be applied the other way around by tactic means. But I get ya; not always easy when the time is running out.

I hate unsportly players I rember my uncle telling me he played in the live section but somethin urgent came up so after making his first he wanted to abort on the second but didnt see the button so asked his opponent how he could abort and the guy ignored him to get the win off time trust me some people are just ratings hungry and theres nothing we can really do about it.
P.S. my uncles said that the guy did say hi and goodluck and all that for the game so he did speak english.
I like the 50-move rule. If you trade fifty moves like that in the end game and produce nothing, i cannot imagine that you weren't bored at least a little. With absolutely no advantage, you guys seemed pretty evenly matched, and the game should have drawn.
TO be honest I didnt really look at the game til now and your are sorta complanin over nothin cause that game was a drawn position anyway.

The OP's point is, with 3 year olds knowing this is a draw, his opponent still played on and hoped OP to run out of time and win. These people are pathetic, yes, I would never wan to play with that guy, what a waste of time that is.
On the other hand, when your opponent has 10 sec left in an obviously drawn position, what would you do? If you think keep moving to make him to run out of time is immoral, then what about in a losing position and make your opponent run out of time?
It depends on the time on the clock though, if your opponent has like 1 min left, then you are an idiot to continue and not accept draw. But I got a suggestion for OP. Draw offer spam him next time it happens

Thx this explains things more and I do agree that this guy is trash.
Hello everyone, I just want to bring you attention to - do not play live chess with this guy. Check out this game:
He made me claim draw by 50-move rule, just because he had plenty of time and I had 1min 20s. Furtnately, I was able to make 50 moves by 1 minute. I do not get offended easily, but I find this quite unsporting. You really do not want to go through this.
