Right, but if someone gets 99% accuracy on every game, then that is a huge tip hhey are cheating, right?

chesscom does care about cheating in unrated games too, but they clearly state that if you and your friend are aware that engine use is there it is allowed. Which leads us to think that if you are friends its tough to know if you guys agreed to it in advance.

lol yeah ofc, high accuracy is a symptom of cheating - you can't use it to identify cheating, but it's pretty good evidence if someone scores consistent way above their rating. same thing with the T1, T2, T3 analysis from pgnspy.

according to some yt video on the chess.com channel about fair play, the program scans games blindly without information about the ratings, and stuff, which is actually kind of interesting. people have also talked about how its based on playstyle (?), not entirely sure.

Computers DO play differently than humans. They like to push the h-pawn a lot.

humans do that a lot too lol

there's this really good book called "game changer" by gm matthew sadler and it talks about all these patterns in alphazero's games. it's actually really cool, and there are a lot of amazing games.

How this works belongs in the cheating forum, but CAPS has absolutely nothing to do with cheat detection.

Chess.com compares how often you play a move that only a computer would play, and when it becomes way more than a coincidence that you keep choosing those moves, they ban you.

Moves that only a computer would play don’t exist. Chess.com doesn’t understand statistics.
