I am very ill and have been for awhile. I take lots of medications and rarely leave my bed except for doctor visits. Aside from enjoying chess, I play because it helps me ignore pain and fear. You kids learning to enjoy chess probably never thought that you are giving your old self the gift of periods of peace when those are hard to come by. I recognize that it is ridiculous vanity to care about my quality of play now but, on the other hand, there isn't much else I can control. The easiest way for me to play is on a Kindle tablet. I have to lie down and a laptop is too much. I've spent all my money and then some so I can't go buy some new whizbang machine that would be easier. Fortunately, chess.com works pretty well on the Silk browser and the stripped down Android. My hands often don't work very well (doing fine right now) so I sometimes have trouble playing. Two things would really help that seem like they would be easy options. The first is to have a couple of (big) buttons that show up after a move "Confirm", "Undo" below the board where there is tons of space. The move would only happen when you hit "Confirm". I can't tell you the number of times I have tried to recapture Re1-Re8 and my trembling, spastic hands have moved Re1-Re7. Tends to ruin the game. If we had these buttons I could hit undo and try again. If it is felt that half move is an unfair advantage on the board, I'd be fine with a window that says Re1-Re7 as intended move. I also play on Focus mode because I can't press the Draw and Resign buttons on the standard mode. I would rather play on Standard mode but the Draw and Resign buttons are both tiny and obscured by the game score navigation buttons (a bug I believe). So the second improvement would be giving us bigger Draw and Resign buttons with confirm (important) would also be good. I've resigned and offered draws because of hand problems. Thanks very much.
