How to play rated game

in live chess below the time controls there is the "start game" button a little below start game button there is a blue coloured button which says "rating options" click it and then change unrated to rated
Hi, I was wondering why my rating has been the same regardless whether I lose or win with any game in Live Chess. I realized that all the games I have been played are "unrated". How do I play rated game? Your help will be appreciated.
