I think there should be an option in live chess for such a time control....such a time control would improve endgame play immensely me thinks....just like real OTB games do.of course I'm not suggesting any insanely long time control....something like 15 minutes per 40 moves....or something like that.what yall think?

I think this is a very good idea, in fact when someone plays blitz online the endgame is played in no more than one minute which isn't enough to play it in a reasonable way.

exactly.....and everyone is overstressing these endgame books....if one has merely a couple minutes for the whole endgame in every game...what good will reading a book do?not much if u ask me....and personally I haven't gotten a whole lot of benefit from reading these books for this reason Tongue Out and even putting a time delay isn't enough....u'd still have mere seconds for every move.endgames require very precise concrete calculations...even more so than in middlegames

It may be good for those who stall too, so you dont have to wait forever

Apex__Predator

it sure will.....certainly better to play 15-20 minutes per 40 moves than say....45 minutes straight
