Hi all,
I recently had a game where despite being up on material, I lost on time due to moves taking upwards of 30 seconds to register. I believe that it is unfair that I lose rating due to chess.com's [removed -- MS] servers, and as such was wondering if it is possible to get those elo points back. It is incredibly frustrating that I am not able to even play normal chess here because this website believes that loading advertisements takes precedent over making sure that my moves are being registered.
Generally speaking, unless there's a major site issue, there aren't refunds for lag experienced by players. In the case of major issues, the site has a process in place to give automatic refunds.
There are some things to minimize lag from the client end.
