lag or something like that

Live chess became much better about a year ago. In the past few weeks, it seems clunky, as if my mouse is going out (there is nothing wrong with my mouse--I've tested it on other sites and have no problems). Whatever changed, it is a change for the worse.

I have that symptom if I haven't restarted firefox for a while (a few days).

Not the issue. I restart firefox daily, and installed the latest version yesterday.

Online chess has been really slow the last week or so. Sometimes I have to close my browser down and restart it to update the page.

I have the same problem from time to time restart your computer, install updates for your browser, and check your add ons too...delete the old ones.

No, it's not my computer, because everything is up to date and very well maintained. I am on many sites, and this issue has only been on Live Chess since they started changing some programming about a week ago.

Same for me. My cache is clear, but things are slow.

Correct me if I'm wrong but when I play live chess and my Internet connection gets slow and I get a little window saying something like "server unavailable, trying to reconnect" my clock continues to go down in my opponent's screen. But then, if my disconnection made, let's say, 34 seconds, are those added at the end? I think so, because I have noticed that sometimes I am playing with someone who disconnects for a while but then returns and at the end, when his clock gets to 0.00 it adds 10 or 15 seconds automatically without him moving, so I believe it's like in football: the system adds the seconds he lost while disconnected and I think that's fair, however, one day a guy saw that happen to me (in fact my computer had disconnected me for a couple of seconds and he thought I was cheating!! He wouldn't believe me that was something I couldn't possibly modify!

Thanks Erik. I have a feeling that it has something to do with premove. More than a year ago, the clocks would stop completely and the game would freeze when both players were using premove in a time scramble. It's not that bad, but seems clunky, usually at those times when premove seems likely.
